🎮 Supplies Used:

  • Pajama Crafter Stamps Gamers Flashcards: https://collabs.shop/tgg50t (card panel with controller design)

  • Black foil

  • Laminator or foiling machine

  • Distress Oxide Inks (Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness)

  • Ink blending tools

  • Die border frame

  • Masking paper

  • Pencil

✨ How I Made It:

  1. Masking the Controller:

Before any inking, I laid a piece of masking paper over the controller image and lightly traced the outline with a pencil. I cut out the mask and placed it carefully over the controller so it would stay bright white while I blended the background.

  2. Ink Blending the Background:

With the mask in place, I used blending brushes to apply Twisted Citron in the center, Mowed Lawn around it, and a touch of Rustic Wilderness at the edges. The mask protected the controller perfectly, leaving it clean and crisp.

  3. Foiling the Design:

Once the ink was completely dry, I removed the mask, laid black foil over the panel, and ran it through my foiling machine. This added the crisp black outline of the controller and the pixel-style sentiment: Gamers don’t get older—they level up.

I love how the foil pops against the blended background.

  4. Adding the Frame:

To give the card a polished finish, I die cut a simple black border frame with a subtle embossed texture. This clean frame helps anchor the bright center panel without distracting from it.

  5. Assembly:

I adhered the finished piece to a top-fold A2 card base, making sure it was centered and secure.

🎂 Gamer Birthday Card Tips:

  • Always ensure your ink is 100% dry before foiling to avoid any foil sticking where you don’t want it.

  • Try foam tape behind the panel or the frame for added dimension.

  • Experiment with other colors like neon blue or purple for different gaming themes.
