Warm Birthday Wishes – Beachy Ink Blended Card with Insulated Cup | Featuring Pajama Crafter Stamps

Today I’m sharing another project for the Pajama Crafter Stamps Design Team, and it’s giving all the summer vibes! This warm, beachy card features bold ink blending, stamped seashells, and a sparkly Stanley-style tumbler—perfect for a sunny birthday, a vacation hello, or even a retirement card.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Ink-Blended Background

I started with a 4.25” x 5.5” piece of smooth white cardstock and used ink blending to bring the scene to life. First, I masked off the ocean and sand to work on the sky. I blended a beautiful gradient of orange into pink and then into purple to create a dreamy sunset.

Once the sky was done, I masked it off and added a turquoise ocean. Finally, I carefully blended the sandy shore at the bottom, avoiding mixing with the ocean layer. To frame it all, I ran the panel through a stitched rectangle die for a subtle textured border.

  2. Sentiment and Scene Details

I stamped the main sentiment “Warm birthday wishes” in the upper right corner within the stitched frame, and created a second sentiment “life is better at the beach” for the cup by stamping it onto white cardstock.

All the stamped images and sentiments are from Pajama Crafter Stamps.

  3. Creating the Stanley Cup

To make the sparkly cup the star of the show, I die cut the body using a textured, glittery paper for that bedazzled tumbler look. The top parts were die cut from brushed silver and white cardstock, then pieced together. I added foam tape behind the cup and adhered it at a slight angle on the sand for a casual, laid-back vibe.

  4. Finishing Touches

I stamped and colored some seashells using alcohol marker shades that matched my sky blend, then die cut them using my electronic die cutting machine. I also cut out the beach sentiment the same way and glued everything down with liquid adhesive.

To finish it off, I drew a few simple flying seagulls with a black gel pen for a little extra movement in the sky.

This card was such a blast to make and really captures those relaxing, sun-soaked vibes. It’s a design you can easily personalize—whether you’re making a birthday card, a retirement send-off, or just sending a cheerful summer hello. I’m so excited to keep creating with Pajama Crafter Stamps, and I can’t wait to share more of their sassy, fun-loving stamps in future projects!
