Where Have I Been? A Shift in My Creative Journey

Over the past few months, I’ve found myself moving a little more slowly, both in life and in my creative work. Sometimes we don’t realize we’re in a transitional season until we look back and notice how everything quietly shifted. I didn’t announce a break or set out with a specific plan — I just followed the pull to step back, breathe, and listen to what I truly needed. And in that quiet, a lot became clearer.

I continued creating here and there, but most of it stayed just for me. It felt good to make without the pressure to share, perform, or produce. That space allowed me to reconnect with my priorities and to reflect on where I really want my creative journey to go next.

Part of that reflection led me to pause my involvement with design teams and summits for now. Those experiences brought so much joy and growth, but I felt a gentle pull to slow down — to choose alignment over momentum. I want my creative work to be intentional, meaningful, and grounded, and stepping back has created room for that clarity to return.

In that openness, I’ve started exploring something new: clay jewelry. I’m very much in the beginning stages — learning, experimenting, and letting myself play without expectation. It’s been refreshing to create purely out of curiosity, simply because it feels good to make something with my hands.

This weekend, I’ll be participating in Virtual Stamp Joy and taking a cardmaking class with Taylored Expressions. I’m looking forward to it as a gentle way to ease back into crafting and reconnect with the joy that originally sparked all of this. If it feels aligned and time allows, I’ll share an unboxing and a quiet review afterward to reflect on the experience.

I don’t know exactly what the next chapter of my creative journey will look like, but I’m learning to be comfortable in that uncertainty. For now, I’m taking it one step, one project, one small spark at a time. Thank you for walking alongside me.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)
