There’s something extra special about creating handmade cards for new babies. They’re soft, sentimental, and meant to be treasured — and today’s card checks all of those boxes with a classic storybook feel featuring Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet.

This design combines stamped images, coordinating SVGs, layered patterned paper, and lots of dimension for a cozy, nursery-inspired card that’s perfect for welcoming a little one into the world.
Project Overview
For this project, I used the Winnie the Pooh trio image along with the “Welcome Little One” sentiment from the Brutus Monroe Winnie & Friends stamp set. Instead of stamping first, I die cut the coordinating SVGs and then stamped the images directly onto the die cuts, which makes alignment simple and gives a clean, finished look.
To complete the design, I paired the images with papers from the Hunny Acres paper pad, keeping the color palette warm and timeless.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Die Cut the SVGs
I started by die cutting the coordinating SVGs that match the stamp set. This allowed me to stamp directly onto the die-cut shapes and ensured perfect placement.
2. Stamp & Color the Images
Once the SVGs were die cut, I stamped the trio image of Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet directly onto the die cuts, along with the “Welcome Little One” sentiment.
I then colored everything with Copic markers, keeping the colors soft and true to the classic storybook style.
3. Create the Background Layers
From the Hunny Acres paper pad, I die cut a stitched rectangle from the honeycomb paper, which adds subtle texture without overwhelming the design.
I also trimmed the wood panel paper down to A2 size and adhered it to my card base to serve as a warm, neutral foundation.
4. Add Dimension
To bring everything to life, I used foam tape to pop up:
The honeycomb stitched rectangle
The stamped and die-cut character images
This extra height adds interest and helps the focal image stand out from the background.
5. Finishing Touches
To finish the card, I added:
Pooh’s signature red balloon
A few red enamel dots
These small pops of red help balance the design and draw the eye around the card, tying everything together beautifully.

Final Thoughts
I love how this card came together — it feels cozy, heartfelt, and full of gentle storytelling. Combining stamped images with coordinating SVGs is such a great way to add polish, and the Hunny Acres papers were the perfect complement to this sweet scene.
This design would work beautifully for:
New baby cards
Baby shower cards
