This month, I’m excited to share another project featuring the adorable Gnome Friends: Snowman Dies from Jaded Blossom Stamps — and this one is extra special to me. I created a little snowman family of three inspired by my own: me, my husband, and our daughter. ❤️

Building the Snowman Family

I started by die cutting the mom and dad snowmen using the Gnome Friends: Snowman Dies, and gave them personality with the Cute Snowman Faces stamp set. For the little one, I used the Snowman Pets Dies, which was the perfect scale to represent a sweet little “kid” snowman. I finished that little cutie with another face from the Cute Snowman Faces set so the whole family coordinated.

Once all the base snowmen were assembled, I moved on to building the world around them.

Creating the Winter Sky

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide inks in:

  • Kitsch Flamingo

  • Dusty Concord

  • Stormy Sky

This trio creates the dreamiest pastel-winter sky with depth and mood. I added water splatters to lightly lift some of the color and then flicked white pigment paint to mimic falling snow. It brings the whole scene to life!

Accessorizing the Snow Family

I color-matched cardstock to each Distress Oxide ink used in the background so the accessories would feel cohesive — scarves, earmuffs, gloves, hats… each in a thoughtful hue. These accessory pieces came from both snowman die sets, making it easy to mix and match.

Once finished, I popped all three snowmen up on foam tape for added dimension.

Finishing Touches

To ground the scene, I added a stitched snowdrift along the bottom and framed the whole card with a stitched rectangle layer. For a bit of extra winter sparkle, I sprinkled in some tiny clay snowflakes.

The sentiment “warm winter wishes” (from the Winter is Gnoming stamp set) was stamped in crisp black ink in the upper right corner — the perfect finishing touch to this cozy winter scene.

A Little Bit of Us

This design holds a special place in my heart because it represents my own little family of three. Crafting these snowmen felt like creating a tiny winter portrait of the three of us bundled together in love and cold weather. ☃️💜

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this snowman family brings a little warmth and inspiration to your winter crafting. Stay cozy and keep creating! ✨
