Star-Spangled Shoreline – Patriotic Beach Scene Card | Featuring Pajama Crafter Stamps

What do you get when you mix summer sunshine with a burst of patriotic sparkle? This festive beach scene card! I combined ink blending, stamping, and dimensional layers to create a vibrant 4th of July-inspired coastal view—complete with glittering fireworks and a majestic eagle sitting on the shore.

🖌️ Creating the Scene:

I began by ink blending the sand directly onto a piece of cardstock, then added specks of brown ink to mimic natural beachy texture. For the sky, I blended two shades of blue on a separate piece of cardstock to add depth and contrast, finishing it off with darkened edges for a vignette-style glow.

To shape the sandy hills, I die cut a wavy curve into the bottom panel, creating natural-looking mounds where the scene elements would sit.

🏖️ Stamping & Embellishing:

I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the beach huts and log from Pajama Crafter Stamps Beach Huts Stamp Set, then added the bald eagle and sentiment from the Yankee Doodle Day Stamp Set. For the fireworks in the sky, I also stamped them from the same set and heat embossed them with red sparkle embossing powder for that celebratory pop!

To finish off the sky, I added shimmering dots of blue glitter glue around the fireworks to enhance the sparkle and movement.

🧷 Final Assembly:

Once my stamped elements were dry, I arranged and adhered the log, beach huts, eagle, and sentiment onto the sand panel. I popped up the sandy foreground over the sky with foam tape for dimension, then mounted the entire panel to a top-folding card base.

This card makes a perfect patriotic celebration, summer birthday, or even a retirement card for someone who loves the beach and the red, white, and blue!
