Let's Make Some Cards... featuring SSS July 2021 Garden Greetings Card Kit!

When I first saw this card kit, I HAD to have it. I don't get the kits often unless they feature a lot of product I like or would use. This one featuring a lot of product, plus had a great color scheme and stamp set. Soon after creating these cards, I even purchased the matching dies to the stamp set because I'm sure I'll use it again! Now, the kit has since then sold out :( BUT, you can still purchase all the individual parts of the kit!

Once I got the kit, I waited for my day off work to really play with it and focus on its contents. This kit included patterned paper, cardstock paper, a stamp set, a die, an embossing folder, sequins, envelopes, tape runner adhesive, some sticker letters, and a bag to keep it all in! Adding up the cost it was definitely worth the price! That's typically how I determine if I'm going to purchase a kit; if the contents I like add up to more than the cost of the kit including shipping.

Once I got started with making cards, I couldn't really stop! I ended up making 5 all together and used almost all the kit contents, except for the alpha letters and sequins.

For the first card, I used the technique of inking up the embossing folder and running the card front with the embossing folder through my Gemini. This created a unique background with the embossed parts covered in the pink shimmer ink I used. I completed the card using the hugs die, the stamp set, and finished off with sequins.

For my second card, I utilized the stamp set for the floral image and sentiment.

The third card I utilized the patterned papers and another SSS die "Miss You" to finish off the card.

The fourth card I utilized a floral stamped image again, the hugs die, and the patterned papers.

For the last card, I did the same, but utilized the third floral image on the stamp set.

Overall, I'm pleased with the set of cards I created and how much I utilized the kit. All these layouts and ideas just came from playing around with each part of the kit - no card sketches used. This kit made it pretty simple to come up with beautiful cards, and I can't wait to get the matching dies to utilize what's leftover in the kit!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)
