Three Autumn and Halloween Cards with This Calls for Confetti

I’m so excited to be joining This Calls for Confetti as a Guest Design Team Member for September! For my guest-design projects, I created three cards filled with warm autumn color, a little Halloween magic, and plenty of ink-blended goodness.

Each card has its own personality—from whimsical witch hats to a peaceful fall scene—and together they celebrate everything I love about crafting this time of year.

Products Used:

A Little Witchy Magic

For my first card, I used the Lattice Lined Stencil to create the bold diamond-patterned background. I blended several shades of green, allowing the darker color around the edges to frame the brighter center. A little splatter added texture and helped give the background a slightly distressed, magical look.

I added a witch’s hat as the focal point, keeping the design simple so it would stand out against the busy pattern. I also incorporated a Nano Spinner for the witch’s hat adding a fun interactive element to the card. They are such a great way to give die-cut pieces a little movement without distracting from the overall design. The sentiment, “Gather a Little Magic!”, was the perfect finishing touch for this fun Halloween card.

Wrapped in Autumn Magic

My second card features a glowing autumn sky framed by dark, bare branches. I blended soft yellow and orange tones through the center of the background before deepening the edges with black. The contrast creates an almost moonlit effect behind the silhouettes.

Along the bottom, I added three pumpkins created with the Autumn Accents set. I paired the scene with the sentiment, “Wrapped in Autumn Magic!”

Follow the Falling Leaves

For my final card, I created a softer autumn scene using the Fancy Frames and Layers set. The woodgrain frame adds warmth and gives the card the feeling of looking through a window onto a beautiful fall evening.

Inside the frame, I blended a warm yellow and orange background. Black silhouettes of a tree branch, falling leaves, and a watchful cat create a simple but striking scene.

The sentiment, “Follow the Falling Leaves!”, brings the entire design together and makes this card perfect for sending a cozy seasonal greeting.

Celebrating the Season Through Cardmaking

I loved creating this collection for This Calls for Confetti. The combination of interactive elements, bold stenciling, layered frames, and autumn silhouettes gave me so many different ways to explore the season.

Whether you prefer playful Halloween designs or warm and peaceful fall scenes, these products offer plenty of possibilities for your seasonal cardmaking.

A big thank-you to This Calls for Confetti for having me as a September Guest Design Team Member!
