Hello, crafty friends!

One of my favorite crafty celebrations is coming up—World Cardmaking Day! 🎉

It’s a whole day dedicated to something we already love: pulling out the paper, stamps, dies, inks, and embellishments and making something by hand.

But this year, I want to celebrate a little differently.

Instead of using World Cardmaking Day as an excuse to shop for something new, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to Craft Your Stash!

💕 A Day to Use What We Already Love

If you're anything like me, your craft room is filled with supplies you were so excited to buy.

That stamp set you absolutely had to have.

The patterned paper that's almost too pretty to cut.

The die you bought with a specific card idea in mind… and somehow never actually used.

Or maybe it's an old favorite you haven't reached for in years.

World Cardmaking Day is the perfect excuse to pull those supplies back out and remember why we loved them in the first place.

After all, my Craft Your Stash motto is:

Use What You Have • Make What You Love • Craft Your Stash

And that's exactly what I want us to do!

⭐ The World Cardmaking Day Craft Your Stash Challenge

For World Cardmaking Day, I'm challenging you to create with supplies you already own—and I made a FREE printable challenge sheet to make it even more fun!

The World Cardmaking Day Craft Your Stash Challenge includes nine little challenges designed to get you digging through your supplies and rediscovering things you may have forgotten about.

Some of the challenges include:

• Use a supply you've never opened

• Bring back an old favorite

• Cut into patterned paper you've been saving

• Create with scraps

• Reach for a neglected color

• Add embellishments

• Pull out a stencil

• Revisit a technique you haven't used lately

You don't have to complete all nine. Pick a few, work your way through the whole sheet, or see how many challenges you can combine into a single card.

✂️ Make It Your Own

Your cards can be for any occasion and in any style.

Birthday, Christmas, Halloween, thank you, thinking of you—or even a card with no occasion in mind yet.

You can make one card or challenge yourself to spend the day seeing how many cards you can create from your stash.

And if you find a forgotten supply that inspires an entirely different project, follow the inspiration!

That's part of the fun.

💌 Don't Just Make It—Mail It!

One of the things I love most about cardmaking is that the finished project isn't really the end of the story.

We spend time creating something with our hands, but eventually that little piece of art gets mailed, tucked into a gift, handed to a friend, or sent to someone who needs a little encouragement.

So one of the challenges on the printable is especially important:

Make + Mail.

Choose someone who would love to find a handmade card in their mailbox and send them a little happy mail.

Our cards deserve to leave our craft rooms!
