CTMH Finding the Words | Best of Luck Card

Ever since I went on my vacation 2 weeks ago, I've been making cards almost non-stop. Whether it's cards for holidays, friends at work, or just because. When I first started up making cards again during my vacation (hadn't spent much time crafting the month before), I felt rusty with my card making and any idea I had either didn't go as planned the first time or it just took me forever to complete a card.

Today I realized that the more often I made cards, the better I get at designing them, and the quicker I get at making them. I whipped up a card for my hubby to give to his fellow co-worker who's leaving his job for another one. I definitely don't feel like I have enough sentiments for this type of thing, which I've needed cards for quite a few times now.

There is a retirement stamp that I want (which I wish I had when my Dad retired), but this wasn't a retirement situation. It's someone leaving a job for another one. The only sentiment I have come up with is "Best of Luck" but I feel like there's gotta be something better! What types of sentiments do you like to use when a coworker is leaving your job? I need to invest in some stamps for this type of occasion.

Using a sketch from my collection of sketches, I came up with the following card.

I began with a sketch, a sheet of paper from Lawn Fawn's Petite Beachside Paper Pad (love these colors!), then pulled some Stampin' Up papers to match (Pumkpin Pie, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Watermelon Wonder), and followed the sketch to make the card. I looked through my stamp inventory binder and found the sentiment "Best of Luck" on Close To My Heart's "Finding the Words" stamp set. This is a great stamp set to have as it is very versatile and can be used for numerous occasions. I finished off the card with some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and Clear Wink of Stella, then called it a day!

As always, thanks for stopping by and happy crafting :)
