Baby Shower Shaker Card featuring Lawn Fawn

A few weekends ago was my best friend's baby shower for her baby girl! She elected to do a virtual shower, so I held her gifts and card until she and her husband came to visit last weekend. The theme she chose for her baby's nursery is unicorns and rainbows, so I had to make her a card featuring a unicorn and rainbow, as well as the nursery room colors (pink, blue, and teal)!

It may not look like it, but I had a tough time with this card! I started off with a pale blue background for the sky. Then I die cut some clouds in vellum, then later added one in white. I stamped the sentiment onto one of the vellum clouds but noticed the ink wasn't drying! I was going to cover it with acetate but then decided to use a flip flap from CTMH to create a shaker pouch to protect the ink from smudging... but it seems that it's smudged just a bit. The shaker panel includs a sequin mix from a past card kit. I die cut the rainbow from some glitter sticker paper (didn't even realize it was a sticker until I die cut it) using a Taylored Expressions rainbow die. The border is also a TE border. Lots of mistakes with this! There's adhesive showing, the smudging of the sentiment, and the adhesive wouldn't keep the card together so I kept adding more to keep the panels down! Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but I know what things I would do differently next time. It's just going to take me some time to get back into the swing of things especially when creating my own card design. I'm just glad to be crafting again!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)
