Mother's Day Card featuring Taylored Expressions' "Mom Graphic Greetings" Stamp

When the new release for Taylored Expressions came out, I did a small haul of stamp sets to prepare for upcoming occasions (graduation, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.). One of the stamp sets I picked up was Mom Graphic Greetings, as well as the Dad Graphic Greetings - both similar style, different words and font styles.

As soon as this arrived, I pulled the Mom Graphic Greetings to create a Mother's Day card as it was the next holiday coming up. With this type of stamp set, it's really meant to be the focal point for the card. I also pulled the Carta Bella Flora paper as I had bought this because of the many floral patterns and had yet to use it.

With this stamp set being a rubber stamp set, I used my Misti to stamp it and removed the foam piece from the Misti to fit the stamp set. With it being such a large stamp, I had to stamp it a couple of times to get an even coverage, so the Misti was definitely handy with this stamp set. Not sure how I stamped without it come to think of it! I then cut down the sentiment to leave a small white border around the edges.

I pulled one of my favorite patterns from the Flora paper pad and grabbed some CTMH Poppy paper to match. I then created a matte for the sentiment, as well as a matte for the card - for this I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die to cut a 4.25"x5.5" stitched rectangle. I cut the Flora paper down to 4"x5.25" and adhered that on top of my Poppy matte. I adhered the sentiment to the smaller Poppy matte and used foam tape to give it some dimension and adhere it to the center of the card.

To add some pizazz, I pulled some pink/red flowers from my stash and created a layered flower using a red brad. I adhered this to the upper right-hand corner using a foam square. I felt like the card needed something else, so I pulled some white lace ribbon I had picked up from the $1 spot at Michaels and cut down enough for each side of the sentiment matte. I tucked these under the matte and adhered them with some liquid glue. That finished off my card nicely.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)
