Mojo Monday 458 & Simon Says Anything Goes | SSS Seeing Stars Card Kit
I apologize up front that it's been a while since I've posted on my blog or YouTube channel, but with starting a new job a few weeks ago, I've been exhausted coming home from work! I finally got a chance to sit down and create a card (one of my early days off work) using the August 2016 SSS Seeing Stars Card Kit. Unfortunately, it seems that a lot of people would agree that these kit released 2 months too late. If we could have had it for June, we would have been able to make

Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Fall 2016 Call | Lawn Fawn Let's Toast!
Is anyone really ready to think about fall yet? I'm not! For me, I feel like summer has barely even started, and I have so much planned (crafty events) before the summer is over. Don't get me wrong, Fall and Spring are definitely my favorite seasons due to the somewhat mild temperatures. My comfortability is a sunny day, about 70 degrees, and a slight breeze, but not enough to mess up my hair! lol! Anyway, while I was searching online for some craft magazines I might consider

Mojo Monday 451 Contest | Simon Says Stamp June 2016 Card Kit
For my second card for the Mojo Monday 451 Contest, I pulled the SSS June 2016 Card Kit that was still sitting out on my desk and used some of the leftover products to complete my card. As with my first card, I also used the Lawn Fawn "So Much to Say" stamp set and pulled the "feel better" sentiment as I don't have many cards with that sentiment either. I decided to use Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment and white powder to heat emboss it. I almost think that using white in

Mojo Monday 451 Contest | Congrats Distress Ink Blending Card
Ah, it's contest week at Mojo Monday again :) I'm still trying hard to keep up with this schedule of blog posts that I set for myself, but sometimes I get home from work and I'm just so tired... of literally, doing nothing all day. The fact that it's contest week just gave me that extra push... and not only did I make one card, but I made TWO using the Mojo Monday 451 Contest Sketch. So I can submit both cards, my second card will follow in the next post :) For this card, I d

Mojo Monday 449 & Simon Says Anything Goes | SSS Look for the Miracles
Does anyone else just love getting their monthly card kit in the mail? I swear, it feels like Christmas every time it arrives! Unfortunately, due to a busy life, it often sits on my craft desk unattended for at least a week or so until I finally have some time to sit down and create something with it. Well, with it being a 3-day weekend for me, I've had the time to catch up on all my video editing, participate in card challenges, and make a card using my SSS card kit, and HOP

Lawn Fawn Summer 2016 Release | "Yay, Kites!" "Dad + Me" & "Big Scripty
There were so many great things about Lawn Fawn's Summer 2016 release! I wanted everything, but I restrained myself from buying it all :) I decided to pick 3 stamp sets, and their matching dies, as well as an individual die. I made my purchase from scrapbookpal.com, and I can't say enough good things about them! Their prices are amazing, they offer free shipping with a $25 order, and shipping is FAST! I placed my order at 5am on release day (Tuesday) and received my package E

Taylored Expressions Grad Grumplings | Graduation Congrats Card
I've been buying a few stamp sets from Taylored Expressions recently because some of them were just too cute not to resist and buy them right then and there! This is one of those sets. It's called "Grad Grumplings," and it's a part of their Grumplings series. I've been eyeing this series for a while, but there was never an occasion where I just HAD to have one of the sets. Their most recent release included Grad Grumplings, which is graduation-themed. Having a few coworkers w

Freshly Made Sketches #235 | Studio Calico Cinco de Mayo-themed Cards
Last year around this time, I purchased a Cinco de Mayo stamp set and journaling card set from Studio Calico. Once I received it, I paired the journaling cards with some Close To My Heart papers; Hollyhock, Sunset, Fern, and Lagoon. I made this into a mini card kit, made 1 or 2 cards from it, and stored the leftover supplies together with the rest of my card kits. On Cinco de Mayo, Thursday, I was off work and decided that I wanted to take some time to make Cinco de Mayo them

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 278 | Altenew Ori Kami
For this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 278, I decided to pull a fairly new stamp set that I had yet to use, which is Altenew's Ori Kami stamp set. In my previous post, I talked about how "creativity never sleeps" and how my first attempt on a card went sour, and a new idea didn't spark until 2am. Well, this is the outcome of that new inspiration, and I'm pretty stoked how it came out! I can't wait to give it to its recipient :) First attempt: I didn't care for the bar
