When I saw My Favorite Things' dog stamp sets "Lucky Dog" and "You Make My Tail Wag," I knew they would make a great addition to my stamp collection because I absolutely adore dogs, have dog-lover friends, and work with dogs every day at my job. "Lucky Dog" was first on my list because it has a chihuahua, and I have a pet chihuahua named Rocko. I mainly got "You Make My Tail Wag" because it had some great additional accessories and sentiments that could be used in combination
My SSS July 2016 card kit finally came today! I know I always say it... but it's seriously like Christmas when it arrives; when ANY craft package arrives really :) Of course I had to open it right away and dig in to make a card! As much as I love my YouTube channel and sharing my card processes, it really take a lot of work to create a video from start to finish. Sometimes, I really do just like to create a card and not have to worry about whether I'm in frame while recording
If you watched my Spring 2016 Collective Cardmaking Haul, you would have learned that I purchased the Your Next Stamp "Keepin' It Reel" stamp and die set with my Dad my in mind as I knew Father's Day was coming up... AND... although he doesn't fish much anymore, I know my Dad as the fisherman in the family :) Before this release from YNS, I'd never purchased any of their stamps, but I came to learn that they have some REALLY cute stamp sets! I have a few of theirs on my wish
Due to the fact that I usually color my stamped images in sessions, typically away from my craft desk, I do not typically show my coloring in my card process videos. I have decided to start a series of videos showing how I color my stamped images to give you an idea of my technique with using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color my stamped images for card making. As I have stated in previous videos, I have yet to jump on the Copic train because of many reasons incl
I've had the idea of this card in mind for a while now. As soon as I decided that I wanted to get my hubby burger themed items for our 2-year wedding anniversary, I wanted to make a burger-themed card to go with it! I picked up some Lawn Fawn stamp sets that I could use to make a picnic scene. I knew I already had a 6x6 pad of paper from My Favorite Things called County Fair Plaid that reminds me of picnic blankets. On top of all of this, the hubby and I decided to reminisce
I definitely planned to get a lot more card making done this past week, but that didn't really happen. I didn't even make the next 2 cards until Sunday night! Anyway, I was inspired by MFT's Sketch Challenge #283, so I pulled out my Simon Says Stamp June 2016 card kit again to use the supplies to make a card. I've used this kit a few times now, and it really is a fun kit with all the mixed media elements incorporated into the patterned papers. The colors are also very summery
