Stamping is the easiest form of mark making. A stamp is usually made from rubber, foam, or polymer and has an image or words etched into it. Typically, a wet medium, such as an ink, is picked up with the stamp and pressed onto a surface to transfer the image or words.
1. Place stamp onto stamp block or stamp platform.
2. Tap the stamp onto an ink pad covering the whole image.
3. Place the stamp facedown onto a surface of choice (i.e. cardstock) and press gently.
4. Remove stamp by pulling straight up for a clear image.
For my cards, I stamped the image, in this case a sentiment, onto both a white sheet of cardstock and a piece of patterned paper. I cut down the white sheet of paper and die cut the patterned cardstock into a circle. I created the rest of the card using a winter paper pad and some matching cardstock papers. I added the sentiments I stamped and finished the cards off with some details like sequins and twine.
