SSS May 2017 Card Kit | Card for a Crafty Friend

Omg, I can't tell you how much I love how this card came out! This was another SSS Card Kit from May of last year (I know... I know...). I wasn't very "over the moon" for this kit. It included Illustrated Faith products and I really just don't make cards about Faith... it's just my personal preference. I did however love the color scheme and the idea of making an animated card but just never got around to it - again, I had just recently bought an Uchi's Design stamp set that I hadn't had a chance to use - AND I have STILL yet to use! Am I the only one who stocks up on card making supplies then never uses it?!

Geez... so anyway, I found a sketch in my card sketch book that I wanted to use to create the card. I decided to use a pink and blue theme for my card and from there I really just used the sketch to create my card. I liked the flower paper. I wanted to create a crafty card using a recent stamp set that I had purchased from Echo Park called "Eat Sleep Craft." To make the "craft" stand out, I stamped it out to pink to make it POP! Just did some masking using post-it tape to tape off parts of the sentiment while inking it up.

I finished the inside of the card using the colors and some of the same design as the front. I wanted to use a crafty critter for the card so I did some searching through my stamps and pulled out the Mama Elephant "Wooly Winter" stamp set that has a sheep sewing. I incorporated the same blue and pink into the scarf or whatever he was sewing to tie him in. Then on the inside of the card, I included a ball of yarn/wool to complete the card.

This will make a great card to send to a crafty friend :) This is all crafters' motto after all, right?!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting :)
