February Critter Card Swap | Lawn Fawn "Dino-mite" Card

As an attempt to get myself back into card making regularly (and actually using the new products I purchase), I joined a Critter Card Swap group for this year. Each month we send a card to a randomly selected person. For February's swap, I got to send a card to Australia.

This card was mainly inspired by Lawn Fawn's Meadow Sparkle Cord. It's twine, but a tad thicker so the colors intertwined will not come apart when cutting/tying it. Anytime they come out with a new color, I get it :) The two colors (purple and green) are really pretty together and they're sparkly!

Going with this twine, I wanted to stick with a white/purple/green theme. I have a box of some recent colored die cuts that are ready to be used on cards, so naturally I picked out the dinosaur from Lawn Fawn's "Rawr" stamp set since I had colored it green. I decided to color the bow from the set purple to bring the two colors together.

Next, I selected some green and purple cardstock that matched well with the twine. I chose CTMH's Willow and Pansy cardstocks. LOVE these colors. They're both a part of the Adventure Cardstock Combo Pack which contains my favorite CTMH colors!

I also pulled out Echo Park's Summer Fun 6x6 paper pad that I had yet to use, which was a common things with most of the products I used for this card! This collection had a nice green leafy background that I thought would go perfect with the dinosaur theme.

Once I had a good combination of color cardstocks and patterned paper to match my stamped image, I looked through my binder collection of card sketches and picked one I thought would work nice with the products I had to use.

I simply cut down the papers approximate sizes shown in the card sketch. Stamped my sentiment and put everything together :) I'm pretty happy with the end product, and it definitely got me in the mood to try more cards soon! Maybe I'll make more than one next month ;)
